Digital systems have physical dependencies

AI, cloud services, communications, and energy controls may appear digital, but they still depend on rooms, walls, power feeds, transformers, fuel, cooling, human access, and maintenance. The physical layer is not background. It is the layer that decides whether the digital layer can keep operating.

Security has to be designed into the envelope

Conventional security often adds cameras, fences, locks, and procedures after the building is already defined.
